SPEAKER PORTAL

PRESENTATION TYPES

Plenary Sessions
  • Presentation is limited to 5 minutes plus 3 minutes for discussion.
  • Unlimited number of slides.
  • Each presentation must begin by addressing two statements: 1) Why I did the research; 2) Why it’s important.
  • If Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used in your research, this must be stated in your disclosure slide or a separate slide in your presentation.
Scientific Breakout Sessions
  • Presentation is limited to 5 minutes plus 3 minutes for discussion.
  • Unlimited number of slides.
  • Each presentation must begin by addressing two statements: 1) Why I did the research; 2) Why it’s important.
  • If Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used in your research, this must be stated in your disclosure slide or a separate slide in your presentation.
Quick Shots (oral presentation, no posters)
  • Presentation is limited to 2 minutes plus 1 minute for discussion.
  • We recommend limiting your presentation to 1 title slide, 1 disclosure slide, and 2 additional slides. The moderators will keep you on time out of respect to the next speaker.
Video Abstracts
  • Videos must include audio narration of the procedure; authors cannot narrate from the podium.
  • Video presentations are limited to 5 minutes with 3 minutes for discussion.

Slide decks must be uploaded by May 1. Instructions to upload will be provided to all presenters.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Submission is open February 20 – March 20.

Abstracts presented in Plenary and Scientific sessions are eligible to submit manuscripts for publication in the Annual Meeting edition of the Journal of Pediatric Surgery (January 202). Manuscript submission is optional.*  Presentation of your abstract at the annual meeting is not a guarantee of acceptance for publication. Quick Shots are not eligible for manuscript submission. *

Manuscript submission is required for abstracts identified as candidates for the Quality Award, and in some cases may include Quick Shots. 

Manuscripts must be submitted via the APSA section of the JPS platform. All eligible authors received notification and submission instructions by February 21. If you did not receive an email and believe that you should have, contact staff.
