Authors presenting abstracts in the Plenary and Scientific Sessions, have the option* to submit manuscripts for publication in the Annual Meeting edition of the Journal of Pediatric Surgery (January 2026). Presentation of your abstract at the annual meeting is not a guarantee of acceptance for publication. Quick Shots are not eligible for manuscript submission.*

Manuscripts must be submitted through the APSA section of the JPS platform. Authors of eligible presentations received notification and submission instructions on February 21. If you did not receive an email and believe that you should have, contact Marina Petrulla.

* Manuscript submission is required for abstracts identified as candidates for the Quality Award, and in some cases may include Quick Shot presentations. 

All Submissions are due March 20.

Manuscript Preparation

Timeline

The submission period for APSA presentations is February 21 – March 20. Authors will be notified if the paper has been accepted, rejected, or if revisions are needed by May 31. If revisions are needed, authors will be given a deadline to re-submit the revised paper for further review by the APSA Publications Committee. Requests for extensions or exceptions to these deadlines will not be considered.
