VISION STATEMENT

APSA aspires to create a sustainable workforce of capable, skilled pediatric surgeons such that every child has access to and ultimately receives the highest quality surgical care.   

MISSION STATEMENT

The APSA Workforce Committee serves both the APSA Board of Governors and the greater APSA membership by compiling, analyzing, and sharing data concerning the distribution of pediatric surgical providers and the related impact upon access to care for pediatric surgical patients.  We accomplish this mission through: 

Ongoing data collection and analysis from multiple sources including, but not limited to societal membership rosters; regulatory or certification organizations; and governmental databases. 

Educating the APSA membership about trends in the pediatric surgical workforce and potential gaps in care for at-risk populations.

Collaborating with other APSA committees to increase access to quality pediatric surgical care for all children.
