APSA Committees carry out a number of different critical functions for the association.
Mission Statement
The Vascular Surgery Committee of the American Pediatric Surgical Association is dedicated to advancing the care of children with congenital and acquired vascular conditions through collaboration, education, research, and advocacy. We aim to support pediatric surgeons in developing and maintaining excellence in vascular surgical knowledge and practice, while promoting multidisciplinary approaches and equitable access to specialized care for all children. We commit additionally to developing evidence-based guidelines for pediatric vascular surgical care through multi-institutional collaboratives and thoughtful involvement of adult vascular surgery colleagues in these endeavors.

To collaborate with vascular surgery and advocate for pediatric vascular surgery, foster innovation, set standards for best practices, and ensure that every child with a vascular condition receives expert, compassionate, and comprehensive care.
